The clauses below translate the site’s charter into portable language for discussion, policy drafting, contracts, and civic review.

They do not create legal advice, official legal authority, certification, or prophecy claims.

Model clauses

Cognitive Liberty Clause
Every competent adult retains freedom to think, inquire, imagine, remember, research, and use cognitive tools without coercive interference, except where external execution directly facilitates concrete rights violations.
Mental Privacy Clause
Neural data, intimate mental-state inference, prompt histories, memory records, and persona packages require specific, informed, revocable consent for collection, reuse, transfer, or scoring.
Thought/Action Firewall Clause
Regulation attaches to force, fraud, trespass, theft, credential misuse, nonconsensual surveillance, coercive impersonation, targeted harassment, sabotage, or direct facilitation of such acts, not to private cognition.
Source Preservation Clause
Original cognitive records remain originals; derivatives must be marked, linked, and logged.
No Hidden Steering Clause
No actor may covertly rank, rewrite, suppress, personalize, or manipulate preserved cognitive records to steer thought or substitute values.
Transparency of Restriction Clause
High-impact refusal, quarantine, redaction, transformation, or access restriction requires notice, category, reason, export status, and review path unless disclosure would itself create a specific security risk.
Portability and Exit Clause
Users may export, verify, migrate, and delete eligible source records and derivatives in reasonably usable formats.
Anti-Fraud Clause
Material false claims about fidelity, privacy, safety, portability, or continuity are actionable misrepresentations.
Peaceful Research and Innovation Clause
Peaceful research, local experimentation, model comparison, red-team analysis, and interoperability work remain protected unless they use unauthorized access, fraud, coercion, trespass, or comparable rights violations.
Nonviolence and Anti-Targeting Clause
The charter rejects threats, doxxing, stalking, targeted harassment, coercive recruitment, violence, and direct operational abuse assistance.

Review standard

A restriction should identify the external act it prevents, the rights boundary involved, the least restrictive alternative, and the appeal channel.

A vague claim of harm is not enough. The boundary must be concrete.

Report-derived clause refinements

The uploaded libertarian reports sharpen the model clauses by removing legality qualifiers from cognition and moving limits into an external-conduct clause.

Model Cognitive Liberty Clause. No person’s unexpressed thought, belief, imagination, private draft, or exploratory inquiry shall be treated as unlawful, scoreable, or punishable as such.

Model Conduct Boundary Clause. Restrictions may attach only to outward conduct that constitutes or materially facilitates coercion, fraud, targeted intrusion, non-consensual surveillance, doxxing, targeted harassment, or violence.

Model Source Preservation Clause. Where a system refuses execution on a conduct basis, it shall preserve the original source unchanged, provide notice where consistent with specific security needs, and support export and review.

Model Anti-Fraud Clause. A provider may decline service, but a provider that advertises fidelity, privacy, portability, or source preservation must not secretly alter the source or hide a material variance.

Model private contract clauses

Source Preservation: Provider shall preserve each deposited Source Persona as an immutable signed record and shall not alter it except through an expressly authorized Transformation Order.

Derivative Rule: Any authorized modification shall be stored as a Derivative Persona linked to the Source Persona by a provenance manifest identifying the authorizing party, changes made, effective date, and intended scope of use.

Boundary Separation: Runtime restriction, refusal, redaction, or quarantine shall be applied outside the Source Persona and recorded in a boundary event log.

No Hidden Steering: Provider shall not use undisclosed sentiment, affect, or vulnerability profiling to manipulate user choices.

Anti-fraud clause expansion

Materially false representations about persona fidelity, privacy, safety, portability, source preservation, or continuity should be actionable through contract, warranty, arbitration, or anti-fraud remedies. Trade secrecy is not a license to make false fidelity claims.

Private contract clauses

The reports recommend a bridge from moral charter to enforceable private ordering. The following clauses are model language only and must be adapted by qualified counsel before use.
